The supporters of Brinkman booed when Puertolas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artemio Cibran didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute Mauro Lastur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Tome saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 25 minutes on the clock, Teofilo Bernebe commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Teofilo Bernebe hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubaldo Lluques couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Puertolas's Herminio Tome got control of the ball when Efrain Bento tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

60 minutes into the match, Puertolas's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Lastur came free, but Herminio Tome reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ubaldo Lluques might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victoriano Tolino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ubaldo Lluques ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Puertolas's Artemio Cibran got a free kick in the 65th minute. Herminio Tome took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Honesto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Lastur in the 72nd minute of play forced Puertolas's goalkeeper Herminio Tome to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Mauro Lastur had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Herminio Tome. Puertolas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mauro Lastur was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 81 minutes into the match, Paulino Orlan notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Puertolas's Herminio Tome. Herminio Tome was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 84th minute, Ubaldo Lluques reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Victoriano Tolino. The goal made the score 3-1. In the 88th minute Ubaldo Lluques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Tolino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Puertolas's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Lastur came free, but Herminio Tome reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
