Spectators: 6623 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1623, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Alejandro Argoitz made the kick off which started today's match. Gustavo Matthew showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliciano Dolfos in the 14th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Jaramillo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! If Maximino Pero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 29 minutes, Rigoberto Gutierrez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jaramillo and the Santiago FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th match minute, Jaramillo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Gutierrez to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Alejandro Argoitz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santiago FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alejandro Argoitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dalmacio Balesio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32nd minute, Adolfo Felipillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Maximino Pero notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Jaramillo's Dalmacio Balesio. Dalmacio Balesio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alejandro Argoitz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dalmacio Balesio having to make a save. Dalmacio Balesio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximino Pero in the 41st minute of the match. Gustavo Matthew made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliciano Dolfos in the 43rd minute of play. Alejandro Argoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Dalmacio Balesio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Feliciano Dolfos to strike the kick off in the second half. Benedicto Fidele hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 53rd minute Victorino Herena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Matthew saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Feliciano Dolfos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cesar Fernandez was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 57th minute. Santiago FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. A collision led to Jaramillo getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Feliciano Dolfos hit a great ball. In the 60th minute Alejandro Argoitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmacio Balesio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaramillo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alejandro Argoitz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After 80 minutes of play Jaramillo's Rigoberto Gutierrez was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 81st minute, Rigoberto Gutierrez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dalmacio Balesio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alejandro Argoitz's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Jaramillo's zone, Cesar Fernandez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dalmacio Balesio came out of the goal and Cesar Fernandez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maximiliano Gora kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Alejandro Argoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dalmacio Balesio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejandro Argoitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santiago FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
