In the 47th minute Rosendo Umea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Txilar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The River Plate players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Blt Fc were winning 0-1.

After a defensive mix-up in River Plate's zone, Tadeo Ibañez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Txilar came out of the goal and Tadeo Ibañez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 54 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Cambranes. Rosendo Umea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Txilar having to interfere. After having played for 60 minutes, Rosendo Umea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blt Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rosendo Umea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joaquin Txilar made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Rosendo Umea sent off a good shot on target. When Tadeo Ibañez came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Blt Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tadeo Ibañez couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute Rosendo Umea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Txilar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denis Mikelar took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baldomiro Arias. Baldomiro Arias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 96 minutes into the game, Blt Fc's Rosendo Umea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquin Txilar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. The River Plate fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Blt Fc were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
