But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Americo Naelio couldn't finish the play. If Americo Naelio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Americo Naelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Colon having to interfere. With a little luck, Del Campillo F.C.'s Rolando Haimar got control of the ball when Carmelo Silbestre tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 31 minutes, Americo Naelio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Del Campillo F.C. and the RUSTU players grew even worse after the yellow card. Americo Naelio kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 37th minute Americo Naelio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Colon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, RUSTU's goal looked a bit too open when Ildefonso Curcio came free, but Guaberto Colon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Del Campillo F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Americo Naelio to strike the kick off in the second half. Carmelo Silbestre took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Haimar. RUSTU's Guaberto Colon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save RUSTU from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Del Campillo F.C. getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Americo Naelio hit a great ball. Guaberto Colon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ildefonso Curcio in the 94th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, RUSTU's goalkeeper Guaberto Colon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Americo Naelio. Guaberto Colon made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Americo Naelio sent off a good shot on target.
