Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Florentino Matteo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's Hernan Quico got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roque Daunte kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Alejandro Tavio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Americo Peter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Hernan Quico managed to get in a good position for a shot. Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's supporters rose to their feet, but Hernan Quico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Siro Pierres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd match minute, Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Elivareo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florentino Matteo in the 27th minute of play forced Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's goalkeeper Americo Peter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Americo Peter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Hunfredo in the 30th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in khaleesi team's zone, Arsenio Harkaitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Siro Pierres came out of the goal and Arsenio Harkaitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the match, Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's Hernan Quico sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Siro Pierres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcial Bernal during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba booed when khaleesi team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcial Bernal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florentino Matteo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Americo Peter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Siro Pierres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hernan Quico in the 44th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hernan Quico to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Venancio Micael in the 53rd minute of play forced khaleesi team's goalkeeper Siro Pierres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jesus Iaki in the 54th minute. Enzo Abella thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Siro Pierres, a very annoying self made goal in the 55th minute which led to 1-0. If Venancio Micael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iker Kelemen kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Amador Cordarrol struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Americo Peter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for khaleesi team. If Hernan Quico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roque Daunte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siro Pierres having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernan Quico in the 72nd minute of play forced khaleesi team's goalkeeper Siro Pierres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hernan Quico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hernan Quico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siro Pierres having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, khaleesi team's Guido Hunfredo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Americo Peter. Americo Peter yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Siro Pierres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Quico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florentino Matteo might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Americo Peter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Florentino Matteo ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee ended the match the Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
