In the 5thth minute of the game Matias Gelacio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but COLO FC's Teobaldo Argider was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moises Senen got free with Gaspar Gregory in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gaspar Gregory made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Cristobal Emesto sent off a good shot on target. Serafin Peruxu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th match minute, REAL SPORTING GIJON was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Urtungo to maneuver through the defense. Cristobal Emesto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Gaspar Gregory tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaspar Gregory showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Azeari in the 22nd minute of the match. Gaspar Gregory took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Azeari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gaspar Gregory made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Moises Senen sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the COLO FC defense, Matias Gelacio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teobaldo Argider. The COLO FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teobaldo Argider should have stopped the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matias Gelacio to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Amado Mattin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. REAL SPORTING GIJON's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amado Mattin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gaspar Gregory made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristobal Emesto in the 54th minute of play. Matias Gelacio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teobaldo Argider showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Gelacio in the 57th minute of the match. Alfonso Urtungo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teobaldo Argider having to interfere. In the 63rd minute Cristobal Emesto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Gregory saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Matias Gelacio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alfonso Urtungo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute Ernesto Azeari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Gregory saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moises Senen charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moises Senen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 70th minute, Moises Senen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, COLO FC's Cristobal Emesto got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Matias Gelacio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Teobaldo Argider when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 86th minute, Matias Gelacio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind COLO FC's goalkeeper Teobaldo Argider, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Azeari in the 89th minute of play forced REAL SPORTING GIJON's goalkeeper Gaspar Gregory to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaspar Gregory came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by COLO FC's Moises Senen. But to his dismay, Moises Senen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
