After some careless play in the Anchoris AFC defense, Matias Gelacio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elpidio Palos. The Anchoris AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elpidio Palos should have stopped the shot. Justo Hanot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Gaspar Gregory made a huge save. In a very dangerous position, a player in REAL SPORTING GIJON fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! Gaspar Gregory was a little too slow when Javier Nardo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 1-3. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Matias Gelacio sped through Anchoris AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Elpidio Palos. When Matias Gelacio came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the REAL SPORTING GIJON fans jumped to their feet. Gaspar Gregory showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Nardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Anchoris AFC's zone, Matias Gelacio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elpidio Palos came out of the goal and Matias Gelacio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anchoris AFC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over REAL SPORTING GIJON's much stronger midfield.
