Fidel Vincente's late challenge caught a Cabrera AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fidel Vincente helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th minute, Fidel Vincente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the match, LOS DIABLOS 's goal looked a bit too open when Zacarias Acosta came free, but Victoriano Leheren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zacarias Acosta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd minute, Zacarias Acosta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 22nd match minute, LOS DIABLOS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximino Ihintza to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to LOS DIABLOS getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Jonathan Santana hit a great ball. Zacarias Acosta struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Victoriano Leheren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cabrera AFC. In the 33rd minute, Ernesto Urki made a precise shot to the right of Victoriano Leheren. LOS DIABLOS 's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in LOS DIABLOS 's zone, Zacarias Acosta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victoriano Leheren came out of the goal and Zacarias Acosta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernesto Urki in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victoriano Leheren saved LOS DIABLOS from getting behind. 44 minutes into the match, Cabrera AFC's Zacarias Acosta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victoriano Leheren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Maximino Ihintza charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximino Ihintza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cabrera AFC booed when LOS DIABLOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximino Ihintza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

51 minutes into the game, LOS DIABLOS 's Vilgot Wennerberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Severino Blasco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. After having played for 59 minutes, Zacarias Acosta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cabrera AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zacarias Acosta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 61 played minutes, Cabrera AFC's Teodosio Oliviero shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Victoriano Leheren came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cabrera AFC reached it. Vilgot Wennerberg struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. A hard shot by Emilio Suero from long distance, 65 minutes into the match, got Victoriano Leheren's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a rather tough play, LOS DIABLOS 's Maximino Ihintza got a free kick in the 66th minute. LOS DIABLOS 's Victoriano Leheren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save LOS DIABLOS from getting a goal against them. Zacarias Acosta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Victoriano Leheren made a huge save. Ernesto Urki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Cabrera AFC's Victoriano Leheren threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ernesto Urki, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to LOS DIABLOS getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Maximino Ihintza hit a great ball. Cabrera AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
