The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Godfredo Hori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artemio Argider, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th match minute, Sin Canilleras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dante Conrao to maneuver through the defense. Sin Canilleras's Godfredo Hori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Shepherd in the 7th minute of play. Matias Fonda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Sin Canilleras's Isidro Abaurre got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute, Matias Fonda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Espigas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Godfredo Hori came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Espigas's Matias Fonda. But to his dismay, Matias Fonda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Espigas's Matias Fonda in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sin Canilleras's goalie prevented a goal. Fabio Shepherd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godfredo Hori having to interfere. When Matias Fonda came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Espigas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matias Fonda couldn't finish the play. Godfredo Hori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiburcio Harri, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The Sin Canilleras players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Espigas were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matias Fonda to make the kick off. Matias Fonda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Espigas's Prudencio Estebe got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 59th minute, Tiburcio Harri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Espigas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Godfredo Hori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matias Fonda, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Godfredo Hori made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tiburcio Harri in the 63rd minute. Flavio Dominic hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Matias Fonda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Matias Fonda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Godfredo Hori was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. A collision led to Sin Canilleras getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Eliseo Jokin hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matias Fonda got free with Godfredo Hori in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isidro Abaurre during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Espigas booed when Sin Canilleras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidro Abaurre didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Silverio Lawrence got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Matias Fonda in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Godfredo Hori, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Sin Canilleras's zone, Artemio Argider stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Godfredo Hori came out of the goal and Artemio Argider tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 87 minutes, Tiburcio Harri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Espigas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiburcio Harri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Espigas's Matias Fonda got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Godfredo Hori managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when Espigas's Matias Fonda fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Matias Fonda who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 97thth minute tested the skills of Godfredo Hori when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
