SanSan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusebio Bibiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Santiago Oskarbi hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Javier Matias short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Lino Efren to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 21st minute, Teodoro Eneko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Javier Matia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ermegildo Michael made in the 25th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by SanSan's Celedonio Sadurni. Lino Efren made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Javier Matia sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Ariel Burutzagi sped through SanSan's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ramiro Napier. Pocho Rex's Lino Efren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Pocho Rex from getting a goal against them. Javier Matia in the 48thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lino Efren, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ariel Burutzagi was the one to do the kick off. When Javier Matia came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the SanSan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Javier Matia couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Pocho Rex getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Teobaldo Garci hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Javier Matia in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lino Efren saved Pocho Rex from getting behind. Leonardo Aimar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Efren having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Javier Matia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SanSan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Lino Efren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casimiro Valery in the 76th minute of the match. Casimiro Valery received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Lino Efren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ariel Burutzagi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Napier having to interfere. SanSan walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
