Bernardino Baldovino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erubiel Valentine went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 15 minutes into the game, Ladislao Lano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olimpo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Federal the free kick. Olimpo's Bernardino Baldovino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliciano Cordaro in the 17th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Federal fully deserved thier win.
