The audience held their breath when Hugo Quiroga in the 24th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Cirilo Peyo's left hand side. In the 27th minute, Damian Isusko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 29 played minutes Marea Roja got a freekick which was hit by Guaberto Chaime. If Bernardo Estebano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Bernardo Estebano came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Marea Roja fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardo Estebano couldn't finish the play. 38 minutes into the match, Marea Roja 's goal looked a bit too open when Ceferino Oier came free, but Tom Midtbø reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cirilo Peyo made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Bernardo Estebano sent off a good shot on target. Bernardo Estebano struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Cirilo Peyo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marea Roja . Cirilo Peyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cayetano Maidana, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Generoso Cristofol to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Cesar Flor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernardo Estebano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Cirilo Peyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Generoso Cristofol scored 2-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cirilo Peyo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 65th match minute, Marea Roja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesar Flor to maneuver through the defense. Cirilo Peyo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Generoso Cristofol went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. 72 minutes into the match, Marea Roja 's goalkeeper Tom Midtbø had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ceferino Oier. Tom Midtbø made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ceferino Oier in the 75th minute. Generoso Cristofol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cirilo Peyo having to interfere. When Carlos Abarca fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cervantes's protests and gave Carlos Abarca a yellow card for diving instead. Tom Midtbø was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Erasmo Inguma showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 84 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernardo Estebano in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cirilo Peyo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 89th match minute, Cervantes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rosendo Saturnin to maneuver through the defense. 92 minutes into the match, Cervantes's Erasmo Inguma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tom Midtbø narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Cervantes's Ceferino Oier dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2.
