Argentinos Juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernardino Javiar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Eustacio Astudillo kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Bernardino Javiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Urbes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cipriano Urbes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardino Javiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Bernardino Javiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardino Javiar in the 25th minute of play forced Argentinos Juniors's goalkeeper Cipriano Urbes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Franklin AFC's Elias Galeno got a free kick in the 27th minute. 30 minutes into the game, Felipe Tallia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Franklin AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Argentinos Juniors the free kick. In the 31st minute, Felipe Tallia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Rene Abaurre came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Argentinos Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rene Abaurre couldn't finish the play. In the 44th minute Amador Ur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Gomez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The crowd rose to their feet as Franklin AFC's Bernardino Javiar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cipriano Urbes. That made the score 0-2 after 51 minutes of play. Amador Ur took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maximino Gomez. Maximino Gomez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Cipriano Urbes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardino Javiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. If Rene Abaurre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Argentinos Juniors's Cipriano Piorno got a free kick in the 70th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Argentinos Juniors's zone, Bernardino Javiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cipriano Urbes came out of the goal and Bernardino Javiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 77 minutes into the match, Rene Abaurre notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Franklin AFC's Maximino Gomez. Maximino Gomez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bernardino Javiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Urbes having to interfere. Cipriano Urbes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardino Javiar in the 86th minute of play. The supporters of Argentinos Juniors booed when Franklin AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Perutxo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Saul Naelio missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 89 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Maximino Gomez right hand side. 91 minutes into the game, Cipriano Piorno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Maximino Gomez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 94th match minute, Franklin AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Galeno to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the game, one of Franklin AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 98th minute there was a penalty for Argentinos Juniors. Saul Naelio stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Maximino Gomez. 4-2. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Argentinos Juniors had played much better football throughout.
