The referee ignored Udaquiola AFC's protests and gave Hipolito Feo a yellow card for diving instead. Hipolito Feo hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. When Agustin Quinton came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Club Atletico San Genaro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustin Quinton couldn't finish the play. Hagbart Falborg took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fermin Firme. Fermin Firme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The supporters of Club Atletico San Genaro booed when Udaquiola AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hipolito Feo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Club Atletico San Genaro were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Valentin Sotil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fermin Firme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club Atletico San Genaro. Adolfo Faro had in the 60thth minute some difficulties stopping Filiberto Natanael's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Agustin Quinton's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fermin Firme firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiberto Natanael in the 69th minute of play forced Club Atletico San Genaro's goalkeeper Adolfo Faro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 72 minutes, Agustin Quinton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico San Genaro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustin Quinton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
