To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 11 minutes into the match, Los Pibes De Atilio's goal looked a bit too open when Cosme Vito came free, but Elpidio Ferran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ernst Åström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Elpidio Ferran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabricio Suarez in the 23rd minute of play. With a little luck, Sportiv Caconia's Ricardo Sidro got control of the ball when Cipriano Otero tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 35th minute of the match Eriberto Muc shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Sidro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cipriano Otero in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ricardo Sidro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Ernst Åström made the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Sportiv Caconia's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Otero came free, but Ricardo Sidro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Otero in the 59th minute of play forced Sportiv Caconia's goalkeeper Ricardo Sidro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Sportiv Caconia's Carolo Guillerme seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Carolo Guillerme the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sportiv Caconia protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Carolo Guillerme had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 65th minute, Gilberto Olo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Sportiv Caconia's Alonzo Quirze got a free kick in the 74th minute. Adrian Atarrabi hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. When Ernst Åström came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Los Pibes De Atilio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernst Åström couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute, Sportiv Caconia's Fabricio Suarez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. 87 minutes into the match, Sportiv Caconia's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Otero came free, but Ricardo Sidro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
