Rene Giraldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fenómenos FC's goalkeeper Domingo Mede, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Marcial Gartzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 13th minute, Marcial Gartzi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcelo Urtsua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Domingo Mede tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcial Gartzi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amador Caradaro having to make a save. Marcial Gartzi might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amador Caradaro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcial Gartzi ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Valente in the 20th minute of play forced Fenómenos FC's goalkeeper Domingo Mede to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Narciso Gartzea sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Domingo Mede skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the Fenómenos FC defense, Damian Valente kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Domingo Mede. The Fenómenos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Domingo Mede should have stopped the shot. Domingo Mede made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Sazon in the 31st minute of play. Domingo Mede came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sportin Rex's Damian Valente. But to his dismay, Damian Valente quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. If Marcial Gartzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcial Gartzi succeeded in the game's 47th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Marcelo Urtsua made the kick off in the second half. After 57 played minutes Sportin Rex got a freekick which was hit by Braulio Bixintxo. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Albino Urritz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fenómenos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Albino Urritz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amador Caradaro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcial Gartzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amador Caradaro having to interfere. Domingo Mede took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Urtsua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute Damian Valente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingo Mede saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute, Marcial Gartzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcial Gartzi struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Amador Caradaro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fenómenos FC. Ermegildo Erramun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amador Caradaro having to interfere. Sportin Rex's Amador Caradaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Gartzi in the 86th minute of play. Eliseo Urbasa hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Marcial Gartzi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amador Caradaro was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Fenómenos FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
