Spectators: 6647 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1647, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jonas Pancho kicked off to start the match. Andres Vedillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Beturian having to interfere. Damaso Gorri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Beturian having to interfere. Damaso Gorri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute Jonas Pancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melchor Nel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aldo Beturian stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andres Vedillo's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. A collision led to Zubiaurre FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Horacio Haitz hit a great ball. Andres Vedillo struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Aldo Beturian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Azcuénaga. Damaso Gorri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Melchor Nel made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Honorato Txeru sent off a good shot on target. After 23 played minutes Azcuénaga got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Martxot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Vedillo in the 25th minute of play forced Zubiaurre FC's goalkeeper Aldo Beturian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zubiaurre FC's Aldo Beturian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Gorri in the 31st minute of play. If Andres Vedillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 35th minute of the match Marcial Lazcano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aldo Beturian skillfully saved the ball. In the 38th minute, Damaso Gorri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zubiaurre FC's goalkeeper Aldo Beturian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 43 minutes into the match, Azcuénaga's Damaso Gorri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aldo Beturian narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonas Pancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melchor Nel having to interfere. After 46 played minutes Azcuénaga got a freekick which was hit by Damian Quintan. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The supporters of Azcuénaga booed when Zubiaurre FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Hitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Zubiaurre FC's zone, Andres Vedillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aldo Beturian came out of the goal and Andres Vedillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute Andres Vedillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Beturian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alejo Indar hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Dario Isidor took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aldo Beturian. Zubiaurre FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Vedillo in the 70th minute of play forced Zubiaurre FC's goalkeeper Aldo Beturian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonas Pancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melchor Nel having to interfere. Alejo Indar kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Andres Vedillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Beturian having to interfere. Aldo Beturian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damaso Gorri in the 89th minute. Aldo Beturian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Vedillo in the 91st minute of play. When Andres Vedillo came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Azcuénaga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andres Vedillo couldn't finish the play. If Damaso Gorri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
