Carolo Acuña hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. If Teobaldo Sotero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nunez Mon made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Omar Iturri sent off a good shot on target. After 32 minutes of play, Les Blues 's Omar Iturri made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nunez Mon was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 35th minute, Teobaldo Sotero fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Sotero in the 37th minute of play forced Cienaguillas FC's goalkeeper Nunez Mon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teobaldo Sotero struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Nunez Mon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Les Blues . Fermin Figueroa charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fermin Figueroa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Cienaguillas FC's Fermin Figueroa got a free kick in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rogelio Olo was the one to do the kick off. Rogelio Olo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Gaspard having to interfere.
