Thanks to some nice moves Venancio Silbestre could shoot a difficult shot in the 8th minute, which Osvaldo Cheche however easily saved by the left post. Muhittin Oyum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesar Matia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes into the match, Cesar Matia notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of El Leon FC's Muhittin Oyum. Muhittin Oyum was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Osvaldo Cheche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Lando in the 17th minute of play. Osvaldo Cheche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Venancio Silbestre, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Alfonso Frederik charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfonso Frederik the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 35th minute, Alfonso Frederik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as El Leon FC's Alberto Lando slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Osvaldo Cheche. That made the score 3-1 after 36 minutes of play. Muhittin Oyum came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by C.U.B.A. FC's Cesar Matia. But to his dismay, Cesar Matia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cesar Matia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Alfonso Frederik recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Muhittin Oyum. Alfonso Frederik showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-3. After a defensive mix-up in C.U.B.A. FC's zone, Nelson Cardoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldo Cheche came out of the goal and Nelson Cardoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Osvaldo Cheche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Efrain Efraim, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Osvaldo Cheche didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Lando went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. El Leon FC were furious when Nelson Cardoso was red carded, 85 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 86th match minute, El Leon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nelson Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. After 88 played minutes El Leon FC got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Efraim. After 89 minutes, Elvio Cordero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Leon FC and the C.U.B.A. FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd minute Venancio Silbestre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Cheche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
