Rene Astrada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gogo Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerardo Afonso during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gogo Ramos to strike the kick off in the second half. With his leg Rene Astrada managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Varela FC's Jairo Claude fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 55 minutes into the match, Varela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Ricart came free, but Anibal Manuelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Gogo Ramos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rene Astrada. That made the score 3-1 in the 58 minute of play. Jonatan Sotero kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gogo Ramos in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rene Astrada saved Vela from getting behind. Siro Virila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rene Astrada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gogo Ramos in the 81st minute of the match. Varela FC's Celedonio Mede shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 83rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Rene Astrada but with some difficulty. Gogo Ramos in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rene Astrada, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A hard shot by Celedonio Mede from long distance, 89 minutes into the match, got Rene Astrada's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.
