In the 17th minute, Octavio Gabirel made a precise shot to the right of Nicanor Berriotxoa. Alumni's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A collision led to Capla FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Bonifacio Clementi hit a great ball. Alumni's Nicanor Berriotxoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavio Gabirel in the 26th minute of play. Nicanor Berriotxoa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marciano Hermon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aldo Abancens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florentino Lain having to interfere. Marciano Hermon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Capla FC's Anibal Orzaize got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Capla FC booed when Alumni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Abancens didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Alumni's zone, Bonifacio Clementi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicanor Berriotxoa came out of the goal and Bonifacio Clementi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Marciano Hermon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicanor Berriotxoa came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Capla FC's Marciano Hermon. But to his dismay, Marciano Hermon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Octavio Gabirel to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavio Gabirel in the 51st minute of play forced Alumni's goalkeeper Nicanor Berriotxoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 52nd minute, Ciro Florin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 55th minute, Marciano Hermon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nicanor Berriotxoa made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Anibal Orzaize sent off a good shot on target. If Anibal Orzaize had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. Capla FC played a much better game than Alumni and deserved their victory. The Alumni players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
