The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eladio Villamor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. The audience was convinced that Romulo Pacorro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matias Carlomagno was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eladio Villamor during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of EL TALADRO booed when Union de Santa Fe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eladio Villamor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Union de Santa Fe's Eladio Villamor got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juan Chano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 59 minutes of play, Union de Santa Fe's Eladio Villamor made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matias Carlomagno was left in no man's land by his defense there! EL TALADRO's Matias Carlomagno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romulo Pacorro in the 68th minute of play. Ramon Cordarrol didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juan Chano went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in EL TALADRO's zone, Eladio Villamor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matias Carlomagno came out of the goal and Eladio Villamor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind EL TALADRO's goalkeeper Matias Carlomagno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Romulo Pacorro put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Matias Carlomagno. A collision led to EL TALADRO getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Clemente Paul hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the game, Eladio Villamor cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Matias Carlomagno was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Santo Orlondon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramon Cordarrol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Omero in the 95th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Union de Santa Fe players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
