Potrerillo AFC's Guillermo Viviano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cirilo Kepa in the 11th minute of play. Guillermo Viviano was a little too slow when Cirilo Kepa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 1-0. Potrerillo AFC's Gino Frederickx got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Saul Sarracino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Guillermo Viviano as he didn't even see the shot coming. Cienaguita AFC's Mauro Gabon got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Cienaguita AFC defense, Arnaldo Ignatius kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oscar Orland. The Cienaguita AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oscar Orland should have stopped the shot. Gino Frederickx took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oscar Orland. Oscar Orland dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. In the 46th minute Saul Sarracino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Orland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

53 minutes into the game, Potrerillo AFC's Arnaldo Ignatius nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oscar Orland made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Mauro Gabon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cienaguita AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Gabon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guillermo Viviano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Cienaguita AFC's Justino Gora got a free kick in the 64th minute. Oscar Orland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saul Sarracino, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Cirilo Kepa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Viviano having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Cirilo Kepa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Potrerillo AFC's Guillermo Viviano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Abreu in the 80th minute of play. After having played for 81 minutes, Saul Sarracino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Potrerillo AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saul Sarracino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Saul Sarracino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oscar Orland having to make a save. Guillermo Viviano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Gabon, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Potrerillo AFC's zone, Cirilo Kepa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guillermo Viviano came out of the goal and Cirilo Kepa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauro Gabon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Guillermo Viviano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gino Frederickx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Cienaguita AFC's Oscar Orland got control of the ball when Augusto Gambini tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Potrerillo AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
