Tomás Leobardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Braulio Venceslao could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Edgard Dantel made a huge save. Uriel Jerrald hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 16th match minute, Bella vista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Jerano to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Llanos in the 18th minute of play forced Bella vista's goalkeeper Edgard Dantel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Bella vista's Arturo Jerano got a free kick in the 19th minute. Edgard Dantel was a little too slow when Braulio Venceslao got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 2-0. 28 minutes into the game, Saul Joseph was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lev Tolstoi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bella vista the free kick. In the 28th minute, Saul Joseph hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomás Leobardo came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Bella vista's Mariano Benino. But to his dismay, Mariano Benino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Mariano Benino struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Tomás Leobardo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bella vista. With 36 minutes on the clock, Ildefonso Sarracino commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to Bella vista getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Ildefonso Sarracino hit a great ball. In the 38th minute of the match Celestino Manny sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edgard Dantel skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Lev Tolstoi FC booed when Bella vista was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Jerano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mariano Benino struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Tomás Leobardo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bella vista. After 45 minutes of play, Bella vista's Apolo Birila made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomás Leobardo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Apolo Birila to strike the kick off in the second half. Edgard Dantel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Llanos in the 51st minute of play. Apolo Birila's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomás Leobardo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Lev Tolstoi FC's Tomás Leobardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Benino in the 58th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Mariano Benino fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tomás Leobardo, passed just outside the right post. Tomás Leobardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Benino, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Bella vista's Edgard Dantel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Llanos in the 91st minute of play. Bella vista's attentive Celso Basajaun managed to snatch the ball when Danilo Boni made a throw-in in the 93rd minute of the game. Lev Tolstoi FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
