In the 6th minute there was a penalty for Lamarque AFC. Jacinto Nofre stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Diego Peter. 0-1. Diego Peter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Medardo in the 9th minute of the match. After 10 minutes of play, Lamarque AFC's Samuel Medardo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diego Peter was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Ulises Tancredo came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Chacarita FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulises Tancredo couldn't finish the play. In the 16th minute, Augusto Quintyn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diego Peter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Medardo in the 19th minute of the match. After 22 played minutes Ulises Tancredo rounded Lamarque AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. 26 minutes into the match, Lamarque AFC's goalkeeper Mauricio Azeari had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romeo Jesco. Mauricio Azeari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulises Tancredo in the 28th minute of play. Mauricio Azeari came out of the goal and Luciano Gaspard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ladislao Giro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samuel Medardo to make the kick off. Mauricio Azeari showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeo Jesco, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After some careless play in the Lamarque AFC defense, Romeo Jesco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mauricio Azeari. The Lamarque AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mauricio Azeari should have stopped the shot. 59 minutes into the match, Domingos Sarracino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mauricio Azeari. Lamarque AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Domingos Sarracino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Lamarque AFC's Mauricio Azeari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Sarracino in the 65th minute of play. Mauricio Azeari showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Gaspard, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 77th minute Ulises Tancredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Azeari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute Chacarita FC were awarded a corner. Marcos Eleazar went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Chacarita FC's Prospero Haritz getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Mauricio Azeari showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingos Sarracino, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Ladislao Giro came free with the goalkeeper in the 92nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Diego Peter could save by the left post. After 93 played minutes Chacarita FC got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Jesco. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Chacarita FC fully deserved thier win.
