Tadeo Selmo charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tadeo Selmo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kappa Tau's Patricio Gipuzkoa was substituted for Horacio Chuse. After 15 played minutes Santamarina AFC got a freekick which was hit by Tadeo Selmo. In the 20th minute, Santamarina AFC's Carolo Fernanco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Norino Viña. Norino Viña yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Norino Viña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romulo Claus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kappa Tau's Denny Spence got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Laureano Paul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norino Viña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romulo Claus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matias Tancredo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Norino Viña firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 42nd minute, Romulo Claus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Denny Spence sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carolo Fernanco to make the kick off. After 53 minutes, Fulgencio Lluques mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kappa Tau and the Santamarina AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Carolo Fernanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Carolo Fernanco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Norino Viña read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Timo in the 57th minute of play forced Kappa Tau's goalkeeper Norino Viña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denny Spence received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Geronimo Abilio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geronimo Abilio made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Denny Spence sent off a good shot on target. After 81 played minutes Santamarina AFC got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Alfonso. Norino Viña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carolo Fernanco in the 87th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Carolo Fernanco notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Kappa Tau's Norino Viña. Norino Viña was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
