In the 17th minute, Artemio Gotzon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute, Florencio Mel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Faustino Hurko was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 29 minutes, Roberto Daunte made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. chaco for ever's Igor Faron tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Roberto Daunte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Igor Faron didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Mercedes. After 43 minutes, Inocencio Poz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the chaco for ever and the Club Mercedes players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Club Mercedes booed when chaco for ever was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inocencio Poz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Mercedes's Roberto Daunte got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcos Foro hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Antonio Matro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Mercedes's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonio Matro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Igor Faron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Inocencio Poz made the kick off in the second half. Roberto Daunte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After a rather tough play, chaco for ever's Inocencio Poz got a free kick in the 66th minute. Igor Faron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Matro in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Daunte in the 67th minute of play forced chaco for ever's goalkeeper Igor Faron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in chaco for ever's zone, Antonio Matro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Igor Faron came out of the goal and Antonio Matro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Club Mercedes walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
