The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Miguel Mikelar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nemesio Kelemen in the 12th minute of play. Carolo Canor hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Nemesio Kelemen in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Miguel Mikelar, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Club Atletico Lanus's Cornelio Gau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Selatse in the 26th minute of play. Sepulturas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Francisco Gartzen in the 29th minute. After taking down the ball on Sepulturas's corner Francisco Gartzen fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cornelio Gau quite easily take care of the ball. In the 33rd minute, Aquilino Senio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Mikelar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nemesio Kelemen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Club Atletico Lanus defense, Anselmo Selatse kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cornelio Gau. The Club Atletico Lanus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cornelio Gau should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nemesio Kelemen to make the kick off. Miguel Mikelar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nemesio Kelemen in the 53rd minute of play. Nemesio Kelemen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Mikelar having to make a save. Anselmo Selatse shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Anselmo Selatse came free with the goalkeeper in the 82nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cornelio Gau could save by the left post. Cornelio Gau made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Anselmo Selatse sent off a good shot on target. In the 84th minute, Marcial Ixaka reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cornelio Gau. The goal made the score 0-2. Aquilino Senio hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Eusebio Rioja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chants of Sepulturas echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Club Atletico Lanus had held the ball for most of the match.
