Fiesta's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustavo Oinatz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodoro Esdras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 10 minutes into the match, Abel Iraitz notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Los Matagigantes's Teodoro Esdras. Teodoro Esdras was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 13th minute, Atilano Gamus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abel Iraitz got free with Teodoro Esdras in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emilio Marquez in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ovidio Lonzo saved Dep. Fiesta from getting behind. After having played for 25 minutes, Jorge Martxelin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dep. Fiesta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Martxelin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute, Delmiro Omero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ovidio Lonzo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 32nd play minute Hipolito Peruxu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Teodoro Esdras. 3-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abel Iraitz got free with Teodoro Esdras in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jorge Martxelin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Teodoro Esdras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ovidio Lonzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Marquez in the 45th minute of the match. Teodoro Esdras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Iraitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emilio Marquez to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Dep. Fiesta booed when Los Matagigantes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pastor Enekoitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Los Matagigantes's Teodoro Esdras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Iraitz in the 52nd minute of play. Ovidio Lonzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After some careless play in the Dep. Fiesta defense, Delmiro Omero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ovidio Lonzo. The Dep. Fiesta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ovidio Lonzo should have stopped the shot. 60 minutes into the match, Los Matagigantes's goal looked a bit too open when Hipolito Peruxu came free, but Teodoro Esdras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 61 minutes, Emilio Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 75th minute, Jorge Martxelin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emilio Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Lonzo having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Delmiro Omero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
