Zacarias Ascencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Abancens in the 14th minute of play. Fausto Mancio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zacarias Ascencio having to interfere. After 17 played minutes Nihuil got a freekick which was hit by Laureano Fidele. Rafael Abancens scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zacarias Ascencio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to dep.charcas f.c getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Gerardo Quintan hit a great ball. The Nihuil fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Nihuil's Jonatan Rosio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jonatan Rosio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Donato Normando when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in dep.charcas f.c's zone, Jonatan Rosio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donato Normando came out of the goal and Jonatan Rosio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. dep.charcas f.c's Donato Normando proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save dep.charcas f.c from getting a goal against them. An unexpected shot in the 43rd minute by Jonatan Rosio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rafael Abancens made a kick off. Donato Normando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonatan Rosio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Cristobal Montrelle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donato Normando was relentless in the 54th minute of the game.
