When Abelardo Gaizko fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Concordia Unido's protests and gave Abelardo Gaizko a yellow card for diving instead. After 19 played minutes Concordia Unido got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Gaizko. Gonzalo Dolcet was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Natalio Gimenez. In the 23rd minute, Cipriano Porfirio made a precise shot to the right of Gonzalo Dolcet. Concordia Unido's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 29 minutes into the match, Bengt Billström notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Naico F.C.'s Rogelio Millan. Rogelio Millan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rogelio Millan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mauro Hegoi's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ernesto Etxepare made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro Hegoi got free with Rogelio Millan in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
