Luciano Chano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Romeo Abascal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Eguerdi in the 15th minute of play forced Chuquentinos's goalkeeper Luciano Chano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Chuquentinos's Ricardo Celio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgar Zagrobelny made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 46th match minute, Chuquentinos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeronimo Orlo to maneuver through the defense. The Chuquentinos players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. RUTA 40 were winning 1-2.

Luciano Chano came out of the goal and Jaime Eguerdi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chuquentinos's Luciano Chano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Everardo Johans in the 96th minute of play.
