The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cortaderas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pretorianos FC the free kick. After 8 played minutes Cortaderas got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Liher. Felix Nesto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Aureliano Iraido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bernardino Felipo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 15 minutes, Vicente Tomi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cortaderas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente Tomi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vicente Tomi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute Vicente Tomi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Dino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardino Felipo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dario Dino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Cortaderas's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Artizar came free, but Aureliano Iraido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Esteban Chabier kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Pretorianos FC's Felix Artizar got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Cortaderas's Cornelio Matxin got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Pretorianos FC were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after Cortaderas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mauricio Reynardo took the corner. The corner led Pretorianos FC's Felix Artizar to fire away a dangerous shot which Aureliano Iraido despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Felix Artizar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52nd play minutes Vicente Tomi shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Dario Dino and just under the crossbar into goal. 56 minutes into the match, Pretorianos FC's Felix Nesto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aureliano Iraido narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aureliano Iraido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Artizar in the 58th minute of play. Felix Artizar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Aureliano Iraido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Cortaderas getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Jesus Liher hit a great ball. Vicente Tomi struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Dario Dino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cortaderas. After 73 played minutes Cortaderas got a freekick which was hit by Bernardino Felipo. Mauricio Reynardo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 74th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 76th match minute, Pretorianos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristobal Odilon to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Artizar in the 78th minute of play forced Cortaderas's goalkeeper Aureliano Iraido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vicente Tomi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dario Dino having to interfere. If Felix Artizar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Pretorianos FC booed when Cortaderas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florencio Dolcet didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Pretorianos FC's Martin Quinton got a free kick in the 94th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cortaderas walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
