The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erbin Vallini got free with Anastasio Lucado in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Verna FC's Anastasio Lucado got control of the ball when Erbin Vallini tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Verna FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Fernan Enol hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Tiburcio Mendiko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anastasio Lucado was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Erbin Vallini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Anastasio Lucado made a huge save. Anastasio Lucado made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Erbin Vallini sent off a good shot on target. Cornelio Giraldo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reynaldo Opilano having to make a save. Tiburcio Mendiko who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Anastasio Lucado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Verna FC's zone, Benicio Aguirre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anastasio Lucado came out of the goal and Benicio Aguirre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Erbin Vallini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Anastasio Lucado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th match minute, El Show Del Futbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavio Zanetti to maneuver through the defense. Fausto Daunte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anastasio Lucado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Daunte in the 68th minute of play. After 71 minutes, Rodrigo Illan made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. El Show Del Futbol's Reynaldo Opilano tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 74th match minute, El Show Del Futbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Pagomari to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Cornelio Giraldo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Verna FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cornelio Giraldo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Opilano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Verna FC's Benito Betadur got a free kick in the 78th minute. Benicio Aguirre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anastasio Lucado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Daunte, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Erbin Vallini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Lucado having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Fausto Daunte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 88th minute, Fausto Daunte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Show Del Futbol fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When Fausto Daunte came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the El Show Del Futbol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Daunte couldn't finish the play.
