In the 18th minute Emanuel Bortzaioriz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Tome saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Carolo Haimar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Vergaray in the 36th minute of play forced Rosario AFC's goalkeeper Prospero Tome to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Marley Futbol Club defense, Bengt-Rune Hagberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nestor Cresconio. The Marley Futbol Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nestor Cresconio should have stopped the shot. In the 75th minute, Cornelio Cayuela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 85 minutes, Bengt-Rune Hagberg made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Marley Futbol Club's Nestor Cresconio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 89th minute Nereo Hibai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Cresconio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
