Dionisio Umbruso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Sabino, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. If Filiberto Lleir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fermin Sadurni to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Ceibal's Venancio Guillelmo got a free kick in the 57th minute. Arsenio Salvadore charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arsenio Salvadore the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dionisio Umbruso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. 75 minutes into the match, Los Manzanos's Fermin Sadurni sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dionisio Umbruso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fermin Transito in the 77th minute of play forced Ceibal's goalkeeper Dionisio Umbruso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fermin Transito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionisio Umbruso having to interfere. Fermin Sadurni's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dionisio Umbruso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. When Los Manzanos's Fermin Sadurni in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
