The supporters of Once Tripas f.c. booed when Niupi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Basualdo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uriel Calisto's late challenge caught a Once Tripas f.c.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Uriel Calisto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th match minute, Niupi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uriel Calisto to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Niupi's Venancio Esquipula got a free kick in the 14th minute. After 23 played minutes Once Tripas f.c. got a freekick which was hit by Gaston Chap. In the last second Honorato Argenis throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ruperto Goyo in the 27thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Honorato Argenis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltasar Rafe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute, Ruperto Goyo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Angelo Criston blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Honorato Argenis having to make a save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angelo Criston to make the kick off. Ruperto Goyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Honorato Argenis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltasar Rafe in the 63rd minute of play forced Niupi's goalkeeper Honorato Argenis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baltasar Rafe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Honorato Argenis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Niupi's goal looked a bit too open when Baltasar Rafe came free, but Honorato Argenis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruperto Goyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Angelo Criston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorato Argenis having to interfere. Angelo Criston blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Honorato Argenis having to make a save. Honorato Argenis came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Once Tripas f.c.'s Angelo Criston. But to his dismay, Angelo Criston quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Angelo Criston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Once Tripas f.c. had played much better football throughout.
