Isaac Playo might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anacleto Llin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isaac Playo ran back to his position shaking his head. Transportes Gatti A.C. were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after CHICAGO FIRE's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ambrosio Videl took the corner. After a defensive mix-up in Transportes Gatti A.C.'s zone, Anastasio Aguirre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anacleto Llin came out of the goal and Anastasio Aguirre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Transportes Gatti A.C. getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Isaac Joachim hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Edgardo Sesuldo managed to get in a good position for a shot. CHICAGO FIRE's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgardo Sesuldo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anacleto Llin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Geronimo Beturian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geronimo Beturian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bruno Chuan hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Playo in the 26th minute of play forced Transportes Gatti A.C.'s goalkeeper Anacleto Llin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geronimo Beturian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Anacleto Llin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anacleto Llin came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by CHICAGO FIRE's Isaac Playo. But to his dismay, Isaac Playo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Froilan Baldovino came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Transportes Gatti A.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Froilan Baldovino couldn't finish the play. Anacleto Llin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaac Playo in the 40th minute of play. Anastasio Aguirre struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Anacleto Llin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CHICAGO FIRE. In the 44th minute Severino Bizen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anacleto Llin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Isaac Playo came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the CHICAGO FIRE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaac Playo couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

CHICAGO FIRE's Severino Bizen got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sebastian Havier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silverio Otsando in the 56th minute of play. Geronimo Beturian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anacleto Llin having to interfere. Geronimo Beturian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Anacleto Llin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geronimo Beturian received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Anacleto Llin came out and tried to block the shot, but Geronimo Beturian slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 64th minute. When Isaac Joachim fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Transportes Gatti A.C.'s protests and gave Isaac Joachim a yellow card for diving instead. A long shot from Edgardo Sesuldo in the 73rd minute of play was well struck, but Anacleto Llin made a really good save at the right post. Geronimo Beturian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anacleto Llin having to interfere. Geronimo Beturian's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anacleto Llin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Isaac Playo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Anacleto Llin came out and tried to block the shot, but Isaac Playo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 80th minute. Anacleto Llin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isaac Playo in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute, Severino Bizen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 93 minutes, Ambrosio Videl mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Transportes Gatti A.C. and the CHICAGO FIRE players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 93 played minutes Transportes Gatti A.C. got a freekick which was hit by Ambrosio Videl. After having played for 96 minutes, Severino Bizen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CHICAGO FIRE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severino Bizen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Transportes Gatti A.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. CHICAGO FIRE were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
