Elvio Fonda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hilario Theobald's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Tiburcio Chorche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Elvio Fonda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st match minute, Ranchillo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Rico to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute of the match Afonso Coutinho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elvio Fonda showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Ranchillo AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. San Rafael FC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Sixto Ferrer made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Delmiro Quin made a precise shot to the right of Elvio Fonda. Ranchillo AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 54th match minute, San Rafael FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hilario Theobald to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Delmiro Quin got free with Elvio Fonda in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ranchillo AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 59th minute, when Emery Pagan scored to the left of an out of position Elvio Fonda, making the score, 0-3. The supporters of San Rafael FC booed when Ranchillo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filiberto Figueroa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elvio Fonda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hilario Theobald in the 68th minute of the match. If Hilario Theobald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Elvio Fonda stood somewhat misplaced when Hilario Theobald came free in front of goal and shot 0-4 to the left of him in the 78 minute. Afonso Coutinho's late challenge caught a Ranchillo AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Afonso Coutinho helped the player get up and apologised. Afonso Coutinho hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. David Manex struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Carlos Fernando Roma didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ranchillo AFC. If Gonzalo Nuxila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gonzalo Nuxila scored 1-4 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Fernando Roma, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. San Rafael FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
