Ramon Sidro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Lauren in the 10th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Huanqueros FC's zone, Amado Gitano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Americo Chesus came out of the goal and Amado Gitano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Huanqueros FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Domingo Abilio hit a great ball. After 28 played minutes Huanqueros FC got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Miro. Mercedes Futbol Club's Natalio Sanson got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Natalio Sanson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Americo Chesus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Mercedes Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Tiburcio Henrico came free, but Ramon Sidro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tiburcio Henrico was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Natalio Sanson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Mercedes Futbol Club booed when Huanqueros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Erdiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Arsenio Salvidor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mercedes Futbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Arsenio Salvidor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Americo Chesus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mercedes Futbol Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Huanqueros FC the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 63rd minute of the game. One of Mercedes Futbol Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Huanqueros FC:s goal. Anibal Lauren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Ramon Sidro made a huge save. In the 72nd match minute, Huanqueros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Miro to maneuver through the defense. Huanqueros FC's Americo Chesus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natalio Sanson in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute, Gustavo Erdiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiburcio Henrico in the 85th minute of play forced Mercedes Futbol Club's goalkeeper Ramon Sidro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ramon Sidro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiburcio Henrico, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Ramon Sidro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiburcio Henrico in the 88th minute of play. Ramon Sidro made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Anibal Lauren sent off a good shot on target. Ramon Sidro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiburcio Henrico in the 91st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Mercedes Futbol Club defense, Tiburcio Henrico kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ramon Sidro. The Mercedes Futbol Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramon Sidro should have stopped the shot. The Huanqueros FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Huanqueros FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
