Evaristo Frederico came out of the goal and Osvaldo Vachon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evaristo Frederico made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Zbyszko Franzik sent off a good shot on target. Ceferino Polo hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Leonel V's Osvaldo Vachon got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zbyszko Franzik stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Leonel V's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Pedemonte came free, but Rolando Feliu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evaristo Frederico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Vachon in the 55th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute Zbyszko Franzik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Frederico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evaristo Frederico came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Leonel V's Zbyszko Franzik. But to his dismay, Zbyszko Franzik quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. When the referee ended the match the Leonel V players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
