Melquiades Hondo hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, Roberto Toro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Florencio Aureo. Extremadura's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roberto Toro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Florencio Aureo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joaquin Poncio was the one to do the kick off. Florencio Aureo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roberto Toro in the 57th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roberto Toro in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Florencio Aureo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Florencio Aureo was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Ivan Corderall capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ivan Corderall really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. In the 71st minute, La reginense's Ivan Corderall dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. After a defensive mix-up in Extremadura's zone, Haroldo Isias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florencio Aureo came out of the goal and Haroldo Isias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th minute, Fermin Txerran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roberto Toro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Florencio Aureo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Haroldo Isias's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, Florencio Aureo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 89th minute, La reginense's Roberto Toro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Florencio Aureo. Florencio Aureo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. Ivan Corderall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Florencio Aureo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. La reginense's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
