C.A. Independiente's Eulalio Darien quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After having played for 11 minutes, Paulo Salvadore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A. Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Salvadore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rodolfo Matthew struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Braulio Gergori didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A. Independiente. Rodolfo Matthew scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Braulio Gergori, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Rodolfo Matthew sped through Sacale Punta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Braulio Gergori. After a defensive mix-up in Sacale Punta's zone, Paolo Ofelio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Braulio Gergori came out of the goal and Paolo Ofelio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35thth minute of the game Rodolfo Matthew who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sacale Punta's Braulio Gergori was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 43 minutes, Edelmiro Pudes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A. Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edelmiro Pudes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rodolfo Matthew to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Sacale Punta getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Andres Moise hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodolfo Matthew in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Braulio Gergori saved Sacale Punta from getting behind. Braulio Gergori stood somewhat misplaced when Rodolfo Matthew came free in front of goal and shot 0-4 to the left of him in the 54 minute. After 60 minutes of play, Sacale Punta's Mariano Santiago made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Agustín Saha was left in no man's land by his defense there! Braulio Gergori stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodolfo Matthew's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Atilano Gervaso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the match, Paolo Ofelio notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Sacale Punta's Braulio Gergori. Braulio Gergori was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eulalio Darien received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Braulio Gergori came out and tried to block the shot, but Eulalio Darien slotted it home off the left post making it 1-6 in the 78th minute. Paulo Salvadore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 84th play minutes Rodolfo Matthew shot 1-7, a short shot which went by Braulio Gergori and just under the crossbar into goal. 89 minutes into the match, Sacale Punta's goalkeeper Braulio Gergori had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodolfo Matthew. Eulalio Darien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Braulio Gergori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
