The crowd rose to their feet as Nemesio Guilabertus kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Uriel Huly. That made the score 2-0 in the 34 minute of play. After 38 minutes of play, Bumipunco FC's Angelo Paez made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alejo Xabier was left in no man's land by his defense there! Angelo Paez struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Alejo Xabier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bumipunco FC. In the 46th minute Angelo Paez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejo Xabier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Incendio to make the kick off. When Angelo Paez came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Bumipunco FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angelo Paez couldn't finish the play. Bumipunco FC's Uriel Huly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benicio Raulo in the 96th minute of play. Bumipunco FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
