Ismael Maureo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Etor in the 5th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Camp Nou's Tobias Fiz got a free kick in the 8th minute. Atletico de Rafaela's Lisandro Etor got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gualterio Nayely made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Bruno Lizardi sent off a good shot on target. Jeffery Van Groenderbeek kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Bruno Lizardi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Gualterio Nayely made a huge save. When Albino Urtats fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atletico de Rafaela's protests and gave Albino Urtats a yellow card for diving instead. Albino Urtats hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. If Lisandro Etor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 43 played minutes Atletico de Rafaela got a freekick which was hit by Albino Urtats. After 47 played minutes, Camp Nou's Arturo Carlomagno shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gualterio Nayely came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Camp Nou reached it. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ubaldo Cresencio was the one to do the kick off. If Lisandro Etor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Bruno Lizardi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Ismael Maureo managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Atletico de Rafaela's Lisandro Etor fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lisandro Etor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Maureo having to interfere. After 68 minutes, Rogelio Librado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Camp Nou and the Atletico de Rafaela players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 68 played minutes Camp Nou got a freekick which was hit by Rogelio Librado. A collision led to Camp Nou getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Enzo Tanio hit a great ball. Lisandro Etor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Ismael Maureo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gualterio Nayely showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Lizardi, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Gualterio Nayely stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruno Lizardi's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Camp Nou's goalkeeper Ismael Maureo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lisandro Etor. Atletico de Rafaela's Gualterio Nayely played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Lizardi in the 81st minute of play. Lisandro Etor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Atletico de Rafaela's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
