Vladimiro Veto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaudencio Oskarbi having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Güemes's Bartolo Oro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaudencio Oskarbi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bartolo Oro in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaudencio Oskarbi saved XENEIZE from getting behind. In the 29th minute, Bartolo Oro made a precise shot to the right of Gaudencio Oskarbi. XENEIZE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. If Bartolo Oro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bartolo Oro came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Güemes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bartolo Oro couldn't finish the play. Gaudencio Oskarbi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartolo Oro, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute, Bartolo Oro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The wind increased when Ciriaco Kusko made the kick off in the second half. When Ciriaco Kusko came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the XENEIZE fans jumped to their feet. Valentin Ferran charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. XENEIZE's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciriaco Kusko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Everardo Dantel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Bartolo Oro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Justino Nisio hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. If Vladimiro Veto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. XENEIZE's Gaudencio Oskarbi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save XENEIZE from getting a goal against them. If Bartolo Oro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vladimiro Veto got free with Gaudencio Oskarbi in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Güemes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vladimiro Veto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Güemes supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Güemes would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
