The crowd rose to their feet as Aurelio Mingo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Astor Galtero. That made the score 2-0 in the 24 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Txerran got free with Astor Galtero in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. ElProgreso's Astor Galtero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Gamus in the 38th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, ElProgreso's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Gamus came free, but Astor Galtero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute of the match, Manuel Txerran got a very nice opportunity to score, but Astor Galtero was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fermin Burutzagi to make the kick off. After 90 played minutes Ranqueles got a freekick which was hit by Amancio Diagur. In the 92nd minute Manuel Txerran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Astor Galtero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Reynaldo Gamus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ranqueles's supporters rose to their feet, but Reynaldo Gamus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Astor Galtero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ranqueles's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
