In the 8th match minute, Topeño Rosario Int 2 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herminio Rik to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Cruz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horacio Argüello's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. The supporters of Topeño Rosario Int 2 booed when Vichigasta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Steven didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Epifanio Haritz in the 29th minute of play forced Topeño Rosario Int 2's goalkeeper Julio Lohitzun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, José Carlos Isern managed to get in a good position for a shot. Topeño Rosario Int 2's supporters rose to their feet, but José Carlos Isern was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisco Cruz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Horacio Argüello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Francisco Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 39 minutes, Horacio Argüello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Topeño Rosario Int 2's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horacio Argüello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th match minute, Vichigasta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Ferrer to maneuver through the defense. Vichigasta FC's Francisco Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horacio Argüello in the 46th minute of play. Topeño Rosario Int 2's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Victorino Louis in the 47th minute. After taking down the ball on Topeño Rosario Int 2's corner Victorino Louis fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Francisco Cruz quite easily take care of the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The wind increased when Ariel Hunfredo made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Vichigasta FC got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Steven. In the 52nd minute of the match Victorino Louis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Francisco Cruz skillfully saved the ball. When Cesar Tuste fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vichigasta FC's protests and gave Cesar Tuste a yellow card for diving instead. Francisco Cruz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horacio Argüello's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vichigasta FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Victorino Louis was slow to take the kick. During this time Topeño Rosario Int 2's players had a chance to rest. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Ariel Hunfredo took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Julio Lohitzun to make any attempt to save it. Topeño Rosario Int 2 made a substitution. Vladimiro Hulberto replaced Darien Barba. After 74 minutes, José Carlos Isern mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Topeño Rosario Int 2 and the Vichigasta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Topeño Rosario Int 2 getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. José Carlos Isern hit a great ball. If Horacio Argüello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Vichigasta FC defense, Horacio Argüello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francisco Cruz. The Vichigasta FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francisco Cruz should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Vichigasta FC's Ariel Hunfredo got a free kick in the 90th minute. Julio Lohitzun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ariel Hunfredo in the 93rd minute of the match. The Topeño Rosario Int 2 fans' excitement grew in the 95th match minute when Topeño Rosario Int 2's Horacio Argüello looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. There was no doubt that Topeño Rosario Int 2 were the better team. Topeño Rosario Int 2's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
