The audience thought a goal was coming when Amadeo Piorno got free with Jorge Montel in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 17 minutes into the match, Casas's goalkeeper Jorge Montel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amadeo Piorno. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ateneo de la juventud FC's goalkeeper Anacleto Fernandes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Casas's goalkeeper Jorge Montel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amadeo Piorno. Hermengildo Acevedo hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Jorge Montel made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Amadeo Piorno sent off a good shot on target. Amadeo Piorno hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Julio Transito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anacleto Fernandes having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ateneo de la juventud FC's Dalius Ignotas got a free kick in the 47th minute. Anacleto Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximo Fortun, who was totally free with the ball in the 49th minute.

Casas were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Ateneo de la juventud FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. 任斌威 took the corner.
