The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leopoldo Colas in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Godofredo Selatse prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 9 played minutes Cecilio Iyan could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-0 into the left cross. Rıfkı Oğuzbay hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Elvio Sidro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pacífico Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Elvio Sidro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jesus Canor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pacífico Juniors's Godofredo Selatse proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Pacífico Juniors from getting a goal against them. Rıfkı Oğuzbay hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Pacífico Juniors's Camilo Cuarto tried to score from far away in the 43rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elvio Sidro to strike the kick off in the second half. Jesus Canor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Camilo Cuarto in the 53rd minute. Leopoldo Colas struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Godofredo Selatse didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hola. Jesus Canor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvio Sidro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Hola defense, Saturnino Hunfredo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jesus Canor. The Hola fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jesus Canor should have stopped the shot. Saturnino Hunfredo charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Saturnino Hunfredo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Elvio Sidro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Camilo Cuarto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jesus Canor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Camilo Cuarto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, Segundo Loco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Godofredo Selatse. Pacífico Juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Segundo Loco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The Hola support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
